The first Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Market is taking place in the High Street from 10am – 2pm on Sunday, 19 February.
February is for foodies, with stallholders including Noah’s Ark Farm with free range poultry, eggs and lamb; Oaktrack Smallholding with meat, fresh seasonal produce and homemade preserves; Riverford Organic with their veg boxes; Greenfield Pork and Hampshire Game; Popadoodledoo with cake pops and Artisan Dairy with tempting homemade cheeses. New to the market will be Rockers Dairy Free to tempt you with hot chocolate and waffles to ward off the chill.
There will also be plenty of arts and crafts from Mainly Wild, Material Moments and Tubbs Cosmetics to name just a few.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Ian Carr said: “The market will be the first one of 2017, and is an earlier start in the year than we have done before. As a result it will be a more compact market than usual, but I am sure that local residents will support it and take advantage of the fine food and artisan goods that have become the market’s trademark.”
The markets will be held on the third Sunday of each month for 2017, excluding April as it falls during Easter.
