Emergency services were called to reports of a man threatening to jump from a bridge in Andover in the early hours of this morning (Friday 10th March 2017).
Police and paramedics were able to talk the man into safely coming down from the bridge on Churchill Way without injury.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said, "We were called by our colleagues at SCAS shortly after 1.30am today who were concerned for the welfare of a man who was on the wrong side of a footbridge over Churchill Way.
"We worked with paramedics and the man came down from the bridge uninjured. We left him in the care of SCAS."
