The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning of thunderstorms and torrential rain for the Andover area.
The warning is in place from 5pm today, Tuesday 18th July to 8pm on Wednesday 19th July.
Temperatures are set to soar again today as high as 29 degrees but with this brings an increasing risk of thunderstorms arriving from the south later this afternoon.
Scattered thunderstorms will spread north, probably turning locally torrential and accompanied by gusty winds, hail and frequent lightning.
Wednesday is expected to remain humid with bright sunny spells but a high threat of heavy isolated thunderstorms.
A chief forecaster from the Met Office added:
"Although many places will miss the thunderstorms, there is a chance of some localised flooding of homes, businesses and roads.
"Frequent lightning may be an additional hazard with potential for disruption to power networks.
"Large hail may be an additional hazard on Wednesday afternoon."
