Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following an incident of racial abuse in Ludgershall last week.
The incident happened at the play area at the end of Coronation Road and Bell Street allotments at approximately 4pm on Thursday 20 July 2017.
A 10-year-old boy was racially abused by a group of four males, all believed to be teenagers.
PC Hannah Milburn said: “This incident has understandably left the victim very upset. This behaviour will not be tolerated in Wiltshire and a formal investigation has been launched into this incident.
“Hate crime has no place here in Wiltshire and we would encourage anyone who believes they have been a victim of racial abuse to never suffer in silence and report it to police on 101 or report it via the True Vision website www.report-it.org.uk.
“We would also ask that any witnesses to this incident call us on 101 - any information you have could be significant to our investigation.”
