Counter Terrorism Officers are involved in an incident on Roman Way this morning (21st August 2017).
Police descended on the property on Roman Way at 4am this morning, emergency services remain there now.
Officers are wearing CTFSO (Counter Terrorism Special Firearms Officer) uniform. Based out of Thames Valley, the unit provides specialist support and expertise in counter terrorism to police forces in the South East region and supports the National Counter Terrorism Policing network when needed.
During the course of the morning, four ambulances were also in attendance along with the fire service. Several police dogs are on the scene and there has been local gossip regarding a body being removed from the property.
A local security specialist witnessed the Counter Terrorism Officers around the property and said, "The team in attendance would not be deployed on something trivial, this appears to be a serious and large incident they are dealing with."
Householders in neighbouring properties have been told not to leave their homes whilst the incident is dealt with.
Andover & Villages have contacted Hampshire Police for comment.
