With Andover still reeling at the possibility of M&S leaving the High Street, news of another big name potentially leaving the town has hit.
Electrical retailer, Maplin, and their place in the town is under threat, whilst the company desperately trying to avoid administration.
Critical talks are taking place with potential buyers for the 200+ store chain, with a potential buy out from Phillip Day (Edinburgh Woolen Mill, Peacocks, County Casuals) on the cards.
Maplin have said they hope to unveil a 'solvent sale' in the next few days.
This news come amidst a series of High Street stores reporting falling sales this year, including Laura Ashley, House of Fraser, Debenhams, New Look, Mothercare and of course, Marks and Spencer.
