Local business owner Sue Eeles has been presented with a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council after opening her new pet boarding business for dogs and small mammals, Animal Mad.
The new company means that pet owners can relax when they go on holiday because they can leave their dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters and caged birds in Sue’s care.
Andover Harrow Way ward member, Councillor Karen Hamilton, presented the cheque at Sue’s home, where the business is based. Councillor Hamilton said: “Sue is clearly a dedicated animal lover. She has a lovely home where the dogs are looked after, and has built a range of spacious hutches in her garage to accommodate her exciting new venture. Sue has lots of experience in pet care and will undoubtedly provide a fantastic service to her customers.”
Sue Eeles added: “We would firstly like to say a very big thank you to Councillor Karen Hamilton for presenting us with a cheque from Test Valley Borough Council for the Business Incentive Grant. We will be using the funds for extra advertising and promoting our boarding and pet care business. We will look after your pets in a friendly and pet-loving environment so when you are away, you can be assured that your pets will receive professional care with a personal touch.”
The Council’s £750 Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Budding entrepreneurs should apply for the grant before they start their company and if it is still going strong six months later, they will receive the cheque.
