Awards Announce Charity of the Year

  • Written by Sub-Editor

With less than 2 months to go until the long-awaited Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony on 13th September, the Test Valley Business Awards can now reveal its Charity of the Year for 2018 – James’s Place Community Group.

Chosen as this year’s Charity of the Year, James’s Place Community Group will benefit from the opportunity to tell this year’s Gala Dinner guests more about the charity’s work, plus any donations made generously on the night.

Based in Penton Mewsey just outside of Andover, James's Place Community Group is a non-profit group set up to facilitate friendships and promote opportunities for people with learning of physical disabilities to meet members of the local community, in a supportive environment.

Danielle Rolfe of James’s Place commented on the opportunity:

“It means so much to have been chosen as the charity of the year, not only as this will provide welcome and valuable funds that will help us to offer more to the members of the community group, but also as it means it will help raise awareness that we are here and available to support those with disabilities in our local community.”

Tickets are now available for the Test Valley Business Awards Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony at the Museum of Army Flying on 13th September; costing just £55 a ticket, to include sumptuous 3-course meal and welcome drink. To book tickets, please visit: https://tvba2018galadinner.eventbrite.co.uk or see: tvbawards for more information.

Now in its 14th year, the Test Valley Business Awards – run by a steering group of volunteers – has become a well-established platform to champion business excellence. It is a great way of shining a light particularly on the many new and small businesses in the region, all doing interesting and valuable work, but often out of sight.
