Break Cover have performed some great gigs in 2013 including Beerex at Salisbury Arts Centre, appearing as part of Salisbury Live as well as the usual assortment of pub, clubs and mess venues throughout the Andover, Salisbury and Salisbury Plain area.
Break Cover are a five piece band and are one of the South’s up and coming Covers Bands, who entertain audiences with a wide range of hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s through to recent chart material. We are the ideal band to book for weddings, functions and parties and although less than a year together, each member has had years of experience playing in various bands or as solo entertainers.
Now, who’s up for some dancing?
Craig Butler - Drums and Vocals. Craig started playing the Drums in his informative late teens, but as you would expect from a drummer, he can't remember exactly when! Over the years he has played in a couple of bands in around his birth town of Blackpool. More recently in and around the Salisbury Plain area he has played in ZcarZ & Rythem Mafia. Craig’s influences include AC/DC, Deep Purple, Cream, Fleetwood Mac & Status Quo to name a few.
Michelle Church – Vocals and Percussion. Michelle has been singing professionally since the age of 14 starting in a pop choir called “En Masse” based in Salisbury, where she performed in many different venues such as the Salisbury City Hall, Salisbury Arts Centre and in live open air shows. Michelle’s career then progressed into several different areas which included solo singing, duo’s, and bands - performing all over the south of England. Michelle also played a leading part in the live Rock Musical “Yours Truly Jack The Ripper” and provided vocals for the musical “Titanic”. She has also done some studio recordings of her own individual songs in conjunction with other peoples songs. She has appeared on Wave 105 FM and Spire FM, both for interviews and performing some of her own songs. She appeared recently on the fashion Week show in Salisbury which she sang live. Michelle’s influences are: Queen, Bon Jovi, Electric Light Orchestra, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Tina Turner, Brian Adams, Sting, Eva Cassidy and many more
Simon Dickenson – Guitars and Backing Vocals. Simon has been playing guitar since the 80s and was known around the Salisbury Area in the 90s for playing in the band “Statues”. Simon was influenced by blues rock and hard rock bands such as Jeff Healey, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Nazareth and Motorhead plus Sammy Hagar, EVH and more recently Joe Satriani, Joe Bonamassa and John Fogerty. Terry Hogan – Bass and Vocals. Terry first started in music as a Trumpeter then a drummer in a Military band, Picked up the guitar in 1966 and played Rhythm/Lead guitar and vocals in a couple of bands “The Purple Tigers” was one of note. Due to job restrictions the guitar was played on and off for years, until recently when he became the Bass Guitarist for a couple of bands “ZCarZ” and “Rythem Mafia” before forming “Break Cover” with Craig Butler.
Terry Taylor – Guitars and Vocals. Terry picked up the guitar aged 11 and soon found a few others trying to play guitar in the same age group. Through various bands and school performances, he found a knack for improvisation and learning songs by ear. For much of his adult life he has played, recorded and produced music by himself until finding Break Cover. His influences include Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mark Knopfler and Slash.
