NM Cabling for all your Cabling Solutions

NM Cabling for all your Cabling SolutionsWith a high profile client list and an enviable reputation it is no wonder NM Cabling is the ‘go to’ company for cabling solutions.

Contracts Director Shaun Copas has over 30 years’ experience in the industry and is expert in the field. A bit of bad luck turned into good when redundancy resulted in Shaun joining NM Cabling six years ago. The company was founded ten years previously by Shaun’s partner and with Shaun on board the already prospering business continued to grow.

NM Cabling now employs around 20 engineers covering installations throughout the UK and Europe. The organisation offers data cabling installations, audio visual installations, fibre optic cabling and luxury yacht audio visual – marine installations.

The team have been part of some impressive projects; these include being commissioned to upgrade the fibre optic cabling and infrastructure throughout Kew Gardens and providing meeting room data cabling and power solutions for Great Ormond Street Hospital. The Wellesley Yacht started refurbishment in February 2015 in Antalya, Turkey with the NM Cabling project involved the yachts data cabling, audio visual, WIFI, IT and central control systems.

According to Shaun the next step is to expand and develop the business even further.

“We are ready to take the next step meaning employing more staff, more engineers and forming partnerships with IT, electrical, and interior fit out companies.”

Core Modular Exhibition Stands and Displays

Castledown Enterprise Centre | Core Modular Exhibition Stands and DisplaysGood customer relations definitely paid off for Steve ‘Clem’ Clements in 2014 when he joined forces with his biggest client to form Core Modular Ltd. Clem became the sole owner of the company in October 2015 and the business continues to go from strength to strength.

Core Modular specialises in modular exhibition stands and displays. The company supplies anything from simple roll-up banners and pop-up stands to delivering large scale exhibition stands and multi-event international install schedules. Whatever the requirements the team can provide a solution to suit. Core Modular have installed ice sculptures in Copenhagen, ice cream machines in Birmingham, 75" screens in Warsaw and Formula 1 cars in London!

Clem says, “Modular stands represent great value for money as they can be re-used, re-configured and constantly updated - so the client benefits from a saving over time whilst retaining the ability to change the look of their stand to keep it fresh.”

The business is expanding at such a rate additional staff were recently recruited to keep up with increasing demands. And soon the company may outgrow the three Castledown Enterprise Centre units already occupied!

The future is full of exciting new ventures for Clem and his team; the company has invested into a modular bar system that is perfect for both indoor and outdoor events and signed up to become a distributor of a new project called 'Clever Frame' which will be launched in the UK very soon. With such a busy schedule it is not surprising that Clem barely has any time to spare. “It’s all go! I just need to clone myself to get everything done in time!”

Solid Foundations at Willmont Building Services

Castledown Enterprise Centre | Solid Foundations at Willmont Building ServicesWillmont Building Services started life as a couple of men and a van. Now the business is barely recognisable as the one it was in those early days. Founder Sean Willmont built on the company’s solid reputation and it quickly grew into the thriving firm it is today.

Sean has been in the building industry for 30 years and has an abundance of knowledge and experience. Willmont’s rapid expansion has resulted in offices located in The Castledown Enterprise Centre in Ludgershall, Tidworth and Newbury and the recruitment of a fantastic line up of multi-skilled local tradesmen.

Office Manager Clare Richards says:

“At Willmont Building Services we are large enough to be large and small enough to be small. Most importantly to us all is that we never lose the personal touch and quality that we offer our customers.”

The team at Willmont can provide an extensive range of services including internal and external building work, plastering and roofing. The company has many strings to its bow; they can build you a house from scratch, modify, upgrade and make alterations to your home and really enjoy working on period properties, using traditional methods and materials including Cob and Lime.

So what does the future hold for Willmont Building Services? That’s simple according to Clare, “We look forward to all challenges and keeping the happy happy factor, which since day one, has been enjoyed by us all.”

Ultimate Relaxation with The Reiki Federation

Castledown Enterprise Centre | Ultimate Relaxation with The Reiki Federation As we entered the Reiki Federation office we were overwhelmed by a wave of inner calm….to the point that interview questions become a jumbled muddle in a fuzzy haze.

According to Business Manager Doreen Sawyer this reaction is not uncommon and has happened many times before. The ancient Japanese art of focusing energy is renowned for aiding relaxation and stress-relief (although due to the lack of scientific proof claims about the benefits cannot be made). Doreen told Andover and Villages:

“Reiki is used a lot in hospices, hospitals and palliative care as it does have a very relaxing effect.”

The Federation was formed in 1999 following a growing demand for an organisation that encompassed all reiki styles. Doreen has been with the organisation since 2001 and has been a reiki practitioner for the last 16 years. As well as managing the day to day running of the centre alongside Senior Administrator and right-hand woman Louise, Doreen also attends international conferences as speaker.

The team have an enviable list of credentials and extensive knowledge that ensures Federation members receive invaluable support. Doreen and Louise are able to advise on insurance matters, offer education, training and regulation guidance as well as providing assistance for all of the organisations members.

The annual review and festival is due to take place on the 9th and 10th April with Reiki Master Don Alexander attending as guest speaker. The event presents the perfect opportunity for members to meet other reiki practitioners and associates.

After leaving the Reiki Federation it took so much time to shake off the feeling of complete relaxation I could hardly bring myself to write this artic…………..
