Health News | NHS Staff Recommend Hampshire Hospitals | Andover & VillagesA STAFF survey has revealed that the majority of people working for Hampshire Hospitals would recommend the Trust as a place to receive treatment.

The National NHS Staff Survey sees members of staff answer a wide range of questions about working for trusts – and 78 per cent of Hampshire Hospitals staff said they would be happy with the standard of care provided if a friend or relative required treatment.

The Trust, which runs Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital, performed better than average when compared to other acute trusts on 40 of the 88 questions asked, with staff also saying that they feel trusted to do their jobs and would recommend the Trust as a place to work.

Alex Whitfield, chief executive of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The results of this survey show that Trust staff value our hospitals as places to work in and what speaks volumes is that they would also recommend them as places for friends and relatives to be treated.

“At a time when staff are under considerable pressure, it is heartening that their dedication and teamwork is paying off and they see Hampshire Hospitals as a place where they can make a difference.

“We are always striving to improve and will use the survey results alongside other feedback to look at how we can make things better for our staff.”
