Rookwood School is celebrating their best ever LAMDA results.
Each year Rookwood School pupils take the prestigious LAMDA exams. The school has a long tradition of success and this year, pupils celebrated their best ever pass rate.
The Prep School maintained their 100% pass rate with an outstanding group of Distinction level gradings and the Senior School students were equally as successful in both solo acting and duologue classes. Four students from the Senior School were awarded Bronze medals.
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) is one of the oldest drama schools in the United Kingdom and is considered a centre of excellence in performance training across the world.
Rookwood School offers private LAMDA lessons in preparation for sitting a LAMDA exam. Examinations can be taken in solo acting, duologue acting, verse and prose, devised theatre, Shakespeare and communication skills and the higher level examinations carry UCAS points which can be used to secure a place at college or university.
Drama teacher, Miss C. Abraham, commented, "The LAMDA exams are superb at developing self-confidence and poise in our students, something which Rookwood School is noted for.
"I am delighted that so many pupils took advantage of this opportunity and proud that they all did exceptionally well."
